This is a remote position.

About You:

You are a stickler for process and automation. You can't stand doing repetitive tasks, especially ones where human error may be introduced. You would rather spend several days automating a task then spending an hour doing it manually.

When you see problems with process, you put up your hand. When you see vulnerabilities, or things that could go wrong, you put up your hand.

You find yourself unable to stop researching cutting edge tools, and you're always itching to implement new ideas.

Job Description:

You will work with the Software Development department and the corresponding Product Owners and Product Managers for software developed internally at ThinkOn to ensure the smooth delivery of code to test environments, staging areas, and production systems. You will ensure we are operating in disaster resistant environments by seeing that all systems are properly backed up, and replicated off site where applicable.

You will continue to learn on the job in order to grow your skill set to such that you can use powerful tools to eliminate human effort. You will continue to push the edge of the company's technological prowess for the sake of efficient process.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Software Development team, and product team on the needs of the department and the software systems.
- Ensure production systems have plans for failure, backups, disaster recovery, and site to site replication.
- Ensure internal devleop systems have proper testing/staging areas depending on the projects needs.
- Actively participate in the design and development of product ideas, concepts, prototypes and proofs of concept.
- Proactively identify problems with efficiency, and be able to propose solutions, and implement them.

Must-Have:

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Ansible, Terraform
- Experience with Containerization platforms such as Docker, Containerd
- Experience with Virtualization platorms such as VMware, ESX, Azure, AWS,
- Very comfortable operating in a Linux based environment.

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with Kubernetes administration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for software projects
- Experience with scripting programming languages such as Python, Javascript.
- Experience with VRealize Orchestrator.
